Allahümmerham Ümmete Muhammedin Prayer

This prayer, recited by our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- for the Ummah of Muhammad, brings solace and hope to hearts. Here’s its meaning and virtues:

In the sight of Allah, there is no supplication more beloved than a servant saying:

اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْحَمْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ رَحْمَةً عَامَّةً

Pronunciation: “Allahümmerham ümmete Muhammedin rahmeten âmmeh”

Meaning: O Allah, have mercy on the Ummah of Muhammad with a general mercy! (Ali al-Muttaqi, no: 3212, 3702)

Prayer That Earns One to be Written Among Allah’s Friends

According to the narration of Maruf al-Karkhi (may Allah be pleased with him), it is stated that a person who recites the following supplications daily will be written among Allah’s friends:

• اَللّٰهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ

Pronunciation: “Allahümme aslıh ümmete Muhammed”

Meaning: O Allah, rectify the condition of the Ummah of Muhammad!

• اَللّٰهُمَّ فَرِّجْ عَنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Pronunciation: “Allahümme ferric an ümmeti Muhammed”

Meaning: O Allah, remove the difficulties from the Ummah of Muhammad!

• اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْحَمْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ

Pronunciation: “Allahümmerham ümmete Muhammed”

Meaning: O Allah, have mercy on the Ummah of Muhammad!
