Prayers for Protection from Earthquakes
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) has exemplified prayers that can be recited to protect against earthquakes and similar disasters. These supplications allow us to seek well-being in this world and the Hereafter.
First Prayer: Supplications for Forgiveness and Well-being
According to a narration from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), our Prophet (peace be upon him) never neglected reciting the following prayer in the morning and evening against all calamities and adversities:

Turkish Pronunciation:
“Allâhümme innî es’elüke’l-‘âfiyete fi’d-dünyâ ve’l-âhirati. Allâhümme innî es’elüke’l-‘afve ve’l-‘âfiyete fî dînî wa dünyâye wa ehlî wa mâlî. Allâhümme’stür ‘avrâtî wa âmin rav’âtî. Allâhümme’hfaznî min beyni yedeyye wa min halfî wa ‘an yemînî wa an şimâlî wa min fevkî. Wa e’ûzü bi ‘azametike en üğtâle min tahtî.”
Meaning:
“O Allah! I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah! I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah! Conceal my shortcomings and protect me from anxieties. O Allah! Protect me from all harm and grant me safety through Your majesty, shielding me from dangers beneath me.” (Abu Dawud, Adab, 110; Ibn Majah, Dua, 14)
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) also recited the following supplications when seeking refuge in Allah:

“Allâhümme innî e’ûzü bike minet-teraddî wal-hadmi wal-gharaqi wal-harîki. Wa e’ûzü bike an yatabahattaniy ash-shaytanu ‘inda al-mauti. Wa e’ûzü bike an amuta fî sabîlika mudabbiran. Wa e’uzü bike an amuta ladhiggan.”
Meaning:
“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from falling from heights, being buried under debris, drowning, and fire. I seek refuge in You from the devil’s influence at the time of death, dying while turning away from Your path, and dying by a snake bite.” (Nasai, As-Sunan Al-Kubra, Istiaza, 65, No:7972)
