Prayers Recited at the End of Prayer
In Islamic belief, prayer (Namaz) is one of the most important connections between Allah and the servant. Prayers to Recite After Tahiyyat and Salli-Bârik
After the prostration (Tahiyyat prayer) and salli-bârik, a person can recite any of the prayers mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah in Arabic. Reciting these prayers deepens the spiritual atmosphere of the prayer.

Rabbena Prayer
Pronunciation: “…Rabbenâ âtina fiyddünyâ haseneten ve fiyl’âhireti hasenaten ve kınâ azâbennâr.”
Meaning: “O our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and deliver us from the torment of Hell!” This prayer contains beautiful requests for both this world and the afterlife.
Rabbi’jalni Prayer
Pronunciation: “Rabbic’alnî mukîmes salâti ve min zurriyyetî rabbenâ wa tekabbel duâi.”
Meaning: “O my Lord! Make me and those who come from my lineage steadfast in prayer; O our Lord! Accept my supplication!” This prayer is a request for the person to perform righteous deeds, both for themselves and their descendants.
Rabbenağfirlî Prayer
Pronunciation: “Rabbenâgfirlî ve li vâlideyye wa lil mu’minîne yevme yekûmul hisâb.”
Meaning: “O our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day of Reckoning!” This prayer is a supplication for forgiveness, both for one’s own sins and for the forgiveness of parents and all believers.
Tewaffeni Muslim Prayer
Pronunciation: “…Teveffenî muslimen wa elhıknî bis sâlihîn.”
Meaning: “…(O my Lord!) Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous!” This prayer is the wish to live in accordance with Islam, have good deeds written in the book of righteous deeds, and pass away.
Allâhümme İnnî Zalemtü Prayer
One day, Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
“–O Messenger of Allah! Teach me a prayer so that I can recite it in my prayer!”
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught him this prayer:
Pronunciation: “Allâhümme innî zalemtü nefsî zulmen kesîran wa lâ yağfirü’z-zünûbe illâ ente, fağfir-lî mağfireten min indik, wa’rhamnî inneke ente’l-gafûru’r-rahîm”
Meaning: “–O Allah! I have wronged myself greatly, and there is no one who forgives sins except You, so forgive me a forgiveness from Your presence, and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the Forgiving, the Merciful!” (Bukhari, Azan 149, Duas 17, Tawhid 9; Muslim, Zikr 48)
Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this prayer after the Tahiyyat and before Salam.
Allâhümmeğfirlî Mâ Kaddemtü Prayer
Hz. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, between the Tahiyyat and Salam, by saying the following supplication:
Pronunciation: “Allâhümmağfirlî mâ kaddamtü vemâ ahhartu, vemâ esrartü vemâ a‘lentü, vemâ esraftü, vemâ ente a‘lemü bihî minnî, ente’l-mukaddimü wa ente’l-muahhir, lâ ilâhe illâ ente”
Meaning: “O Allah! Forgive me what I have done beforehand and what I will do in the future, what I have concealed and what I have declared, what I have done excessively, and what You know of that which is more than I know. You are the one who precedes, and You are the one who follows behind. There is no god but You.” (Muslim, Musafirun 201, Zikr 70. Alâhümme İnnî Eûzü Bike Min Azâbi’l-kabri Prayer
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray in prayer (i.e., at the end):
Pronunciation: “Allâhümme innî eûzü bike min azâbi’l-kabri wa eûzü bike min fitneti’l mesîhi’d deccâl wa eûzü bike min fitneti’l mehya wa fineti’l memati. Allâhümme innî eûzü bike minel me’semi vel meğrami”
Meaning: «O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of the Dajjal (Antichrist), and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty and oppression!»
Someone asked him: “You seek refuge in Allah very often from poverty.”
Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“–When a person is indebted, he speaks but lies, and makes promises that he does not keep!”
