What does the saying “One who loves, loves everything his beloved loves” signify?

Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “A person is with whom they love.” (Bukhari, Adab, 96). This honorable hadith is an important indicator of where love leads us.

ONE WHO LOVES, LOVES EVERYTHING HIS BELOVED LOVES!

“One who loves, loves everything his beloved loves.” According to this principle, following our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in life and conduct is obligatory. This love and devotion are the foundation of love for Allah. Any love contrary to this is deemed invalid according to the Quran and Sunnah. Reaching Allah is only possible through deep love for our Prophet.

Remembrance of Allah (Zikrullâh) and sending blessings upon the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) (Salevât-ı şerîfe) are the source of our spiritual nourishment and a guarantee of eternal happiness. Our hearts and inner worlds mature through remembrance. Allah, the Exalted, says:

“Know that hearts find rest only in remembering Allah.” (Ar-Ra‘d, 28)

The path to becoming a close servant of Allah lies in constant remembrance. Through this, our lives are filled with spiritual delight and beauty. May our Lord grant us all this blessing! Amen!
