What is the Purpose of the “Allahummagfir Ummat Muhammad” Supplication?
Our Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made one of the most important supplications in this manner: This prayer particularly includes requests for forgiveness, mercy, assistance, and unity for the Muslim community.
The Arabic Recitation of the “Allahummagfir” Supplication
Recitation:
- Allahummagfir Ummat Muhammad.
- Allahümmerham Ummat Muhammad.
- Allahümmensur Ummat Muhammad.
- Allahümmehfaz Ummat Muhammad.
- Allahümmecmağ Ummat Muhammad.
- Allahümmeaslih Ummat Muhammad.
- Allahümme ferric an Ummat Muhammad.
The Meaning of the “Allahummagfir” Supplication
Meaning:
- O Allah! Grant forgiveness to the Muslim community (Forgive their sins)!
- O Allah! Bestow mercy upon the Muslim community (Bestow Your mercy upon us)!
- O Allah! Assist the Muslim community, grant them victory (Support us and grant success)!
- O Allah! Protect the Muslim community (Protect them)!
- O Allah! Bring together the Muslim community and make them united (Ensure our unity)!
- O Allah! Reform the Muslim community (Correct their path, guide them)!
- O Allah! Remove the difficulties of the Muslim community (Ease our trials)!
