The Angels’ Supplication: Announces that the giver will find blessings, while the miser will suffer loss.

The Messenger of Allah –peace and blessings be upon him– was at the peak of generosity in both times of abundance and scarcity. He encouraged his companions to give generously and spend without distinction between rich and poor.

THE ANGELS’ SUPPLICATION: THE BLESSINGS OF GENEROSITY, THE CONSEQUENCE OF MISERLINESS

In a noble hadith, he announced that generosity does not diminish wealth, saying:

“Every day the sun rises, two angels call out: ‘O people, come to your Lord’s mercy. Little but sufficient provision is better than much wealth that deceives.’ This call is heard by all creation except humans and jinn.”

As the sun sets, two angels take their place and supplicate in a way that is audible to the inhabitants of the earth (excluding humans and jinn): ‘O Allah, grant successors to those who spend and destroy those who withhold.’ (Ahmed, V, 197)

Therefore, true wisdom lies in filling one’s heart with feelings of generosity and selflessness, transforming it into a sea, and converting the blessings bestowed by Allah and worldly commerce into an abundance for the Hereafter. In this regard, the best wealth is that which is sent ahead from its owner to the Hereafter; and the best life is that which is used in accordance with the pursuit of Allah’s pleasure.
