Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates:
– Oh Messenger of Allah! If I knew which night was Laylat al-Qadr, how should I pray?
– Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allahümme inneke afüvvün tuhibbül afve fa’fü anni.”
– “O Lord! You are the Forgiving, and you love forgiveness. So forgive me!” (Tirmidhi, Daawat 84. See also Ibn Majah, Dua 5)
