Narrated by Abdullah b. Mas’ud (RA)
It is narrated from Abdullah b. Mas’ud -may Allah be pleased with him- that the Messenger of Allah -peace and blessings be upon him- would say this prayer:
«Allahumme innî es’eluke’l hudâ ve’t tukâ ve’l afâfe ve’l ğınâ.» (O Allah! I ask You for guidance, piety, modesty, and inner contentment.) [Authentic Hadith] – (Muslim, Remembrance 72)

Recitation: “Allahümme innî es’elükel-hüdâ wa’t-tüka wa’l-‘afafe wa’l-ğınâ”
Meaning: “O Allah! I ask You for guidance, piety, modesty, and inner contentment.” (Muslim, Remembrance 72)
- Guidance: Finding the right path, acting in accordance with Islam.
- Piety: Fear of Allah, striving to gain His pleasure.
- Modesty: Shame, possessing modesty, training one’s nafs (self).
