What is the purpose of the “Allahumma aslihli dini…” prayer?
Our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- recited the following supplication:
Recitation: “Allahumma aslih lî dinî ellezî hüve ‘ismetu emrî, wa aslih lî dünyâye elletî fîhā ma‘āshī, wa aslih lî ahireti elletî fîhā meādî, wa-j‘alil hayāta ziyādatan lī fî külli khayrin, wa-j‘alil mawta raḥātan lī min külli sharring.”
Meaning: “O Allah! Protect me from error in my religion, which is the foundation of all my affairs; and guide my worldly affairs, in which I have my sustenance; and help me to gain my Hereafter, where I will return; and make my life an increase for me in every good deed; and grant me a death that delivers me from every evil!” (Muslim, Zikr 71)
