What is the Dua “Allahümme aslih lî dinî…” Read For?

Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a significant supplication, the “Allahümme aslih lî dinî…” prayer. This dua is recited to strengthen the foundation of our faith, which is religion, and to maintain balance between this world and the Hereafter.

Recitation:

Allahümme aslih lî dinî ellezî hüve ‘ismetu emrî, ve aslih lî dünyâye elletî fîhâ meâşî, ve aslih lî ahireti elletî fîhâ meadî, vec ‘alil hayâte ziyâdeten lî fî külli hayrin, vec ‘alil mevte râhaten lî, min külli şerrin.”

Meaning:

“O Allah! Straighten/strengthen my religion, which is the foundation of all my affairs. Set right my worldly matters and make easy for me my arrival in the Hereafter. Grant me an increase in every good thing in my life and grant me comfort in death from every evil!” (Muslim, Zikir 71)
