What is the meaning of the “Allahumme innī as’aluka” prayer?

It is narrated by Abu Umama (may Allah be pleased with him):

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) recited many prayers, but we could not memorize them. So we said:

– O Messenger of Allah! You recite many prayers, but we cannot memorize them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) then said:

“Should I teach you a supplication that encompasses all supplications? Say:

Recitation: Allâhümme innî es’alüke min hayri mâ seeleka minhü nebiyyüke Muhammedün sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem. Wa neûzü bike min şerri mesteâzeke minhü nebiyyüke Muhammedün sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem. Wa ente’l–müsteân, wa aleyke’l–belâğ, wa lâ havle velâ kuvvete illâ billâh

Meaning: “O Allah! We ask you for the good that Your Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) asked of you. And we seek refuge in You from the evil that Your Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) sought refuge with You from. You are the One to be sought for help, and to You is the fulfillment of purpose. There is no power nor strength except through Allah.” (Tirmidhi, Da’awat 89)
