What is the meaning of “Allahümme inni euzu bike min zevali…” prayer?
This important supplication (dua) recited by our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) provides us with protection in every aspect of our lives. Here’s the Arabic recitation, Turkish meaning, and virtues of “Allahümme inni euzu bike min zevali…” prayer:
Arabic Recitation:
Allâhumme innî eûzü bike min zevâli ni’metike ve tehavvüli ‘âfiyetike wa fücâeti nıkmetike wa cemîi sahatik
Turkish Meaning:
“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the loss of Your blessings, the spoiling of Your well-being, sudden punishment, and all things that may bring Your wrath upon me.” (Muslim, Zikir 96)
Virtues of the Prayer:
This prayer is an important remembrance (dhikr) where we seek refuge in Allah and ask for His help. It is recommended to recite it to protect against the diminishing of blessings, the spoiling of well-being, and unexpected calamities.
