What is the “Allahümme Leke Eslemtü” Prayer Read For?
Our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- made the following supplication:
Recitation: “Allâhümme leke eslemtü ve bike âmentü ve ‘aleyke tevekkeltü ve ileyke enebtü ve bike hâsamtü ve ileyke hâkemtü, fağfir-lî mâ kaddemtü vemâ ahhartu vemâ esrartü vemâ a‘lentü, ente’l-mukaddimü ve ente’l-muahhir, lâ ilâhe illâ ente.”
Meaning: “O Allah! I have surrendered to You, I believe in You, and I rely on You. I turned my face and heart towards You, and I struggled against the enemies with Your help. I ruled with Your Book. Forgive me for what I have done beforehand, what I will do afterward, what I concealed, and what I declared, for You are better aware of me than I am myself! You are the one who precedes, and You are the one who follows. There is no god but You.” (Buhari, Tahajjud 1, Daawat 10, Tawhid 8, 24; 35)
