Seeking All Kinds of Good and Protection from Evil: Recite This Powerful Dua!

Our Prophet (peace be upon him) attached great importance to supplication in every aspect of his life and taught many prayers to his wives. Hz. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) states that the Prophet (peace be upon him) advised her this important prayer: This dua is like a shield to open the doors of all goodness and protect against potential harms.

THE PRAYER FOR SEEKING ALL GOOD IN ARABIC (Dua for Goodness)

MEANING OF THE PRAYER FOR SEEKING ALL GOOD

“O Allah! I ask You for all kinds of good, both immediate and future, what I know of it and what I do not know. And I seek refuge in You from all evil, both immediate and future, what I know of it and what I do not know. O Allah! I ask you for the goodness that Your servant and Prophet asked for, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that Your servant and Prophet sought refuge from. O Allah! I ask You for Paradise and every word or deed that brings me closer to it. And I seek refuge in You from Hellfire and every word or deed that brings me closer to it. And I pray that You make every decree You have decreed for me good.” (Ibn Majah, Dua [Supplication], 4; Ibn Hanbal, VI, 134)
