“Feżkurûnî Eżkurkum” Verse: What Does It Mean?

Bakara (Al-Baqarah) Chapter 152nd Verse
Arabic
فَاذْكُرُون۪ٓي اَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا ل۪ي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ۟
Recitation
“Feżkurûnî Eżkurkum Veşkurû Lî Velâ Tekfurûn(i).”
Meaning
“So remember Me, I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not ungrateful.” This verse emphasizes the importance of worshiping Allah and remembering Him.
The Virtue of Remembering Allah
Our Lord has sent us prophets, revealed His verses, and rescued us from ignorance. To show gratitude for these great blessings, we must remember Him and ask for His help. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah the Exalted says: I am as My servant expects of Me. When he remembers Me in solitude, I remember him in My own solitude. And if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a better gathering.” (Bukhari, “Tawhid”, 15)
