Finding Peace Within: Zikr, Love, and Reverence for the Prophet
In today’s world, restlessness is one of the most common problems faced by hearts. But how can hearts find peace? According to the Qur’an, hearts only find peace under certain conditions.
The Prophet’s Love and Zikr: Nourishment for the Heart
Our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- said, “A person is with those they love.” (Bukhari, Adab, 96) Love is a significant factor that shapes a person’s character and direction. According to the principle, “The lover loves everything about what he/she loves,” we must emulate our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- with actions that shape our lives. This profound love, affection, and obedience forms the foundation of our devotion to Allah. Any love that deviates from the line of the Qur’an and Sunnah is deemed invalid. The sole path to reaching Allah lies in nurturing deep love for the Prophet within our hearts.
The Heart’s Peace Lies in Zikr
Zikrullah (remembrance of Allah) and Salat (peace blessings upon the Prophet) are the nourishment for our spiritual being and the key to eternal happiness. Our heart and soul world matures and becomes beautiful through constant remembrance. Indeed, Allah says:
“…Verily hearts find rest in remembering Allah.” (Ar-Ra’d, 28)
The path to becoming a close servant of Allah lies in constantly remembering Him. Through this, our lives will be filled with spiritual delight and satisfaction.
