Is There a Prayer for Abundance and Blessings?
The most virtuous earning is the halal sustenance earned through hard work. The Quran expresses this truth as follows:
“Indeed, for mankind is nothing but what he strives for.” (Surah An-Najm, verse 39)
Prayer for Abundance and Blessings
A slave burdened with debt came to Hz. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) seeking help. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) taught this prayer, which has proven to be a remedy for worries. It is stated that one who continues reciting this prayer, even if they have debts as high as Mount Sabir, can pay them off with the help of Allah Almighty.
- Arabic Text of the Prayer for Blessings: اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
- Transliteration of the Prayer for Blessings: “Allâhümmekfinî bihelâlike an harâmik, ve ağninî bifazlike ammen sivâk.”
- Meaning of the Prayer for Blessings: “O Allah! Provide me with halal sustenance and protect me from what is forbidden. Enrich me with Your grace so that I do not need anyone but You!” (Tirmidhi, Duawāt, 110/3563; Ahmed, I, 153)
