The most excellent earning is the halal sustenance earned through hard work. A verse in the Noble Qur’an draws attention to this truth:

Prayer for Abundance and Blessings
A believer came to Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), burdened by debt and seeking assistance. Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) conveyed to him an important prayer taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He stated that if he continues reciting this prayer, even if he has a debt as immense as Mount Sabir, Allah Almighty will help him overcome this burden:
- Arabic Text of the Prayer for Blessings: اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
- Transliteration of the Prayer for Blessings: “Allâhümmekfinî bihelâlike an harâmik, wa aghninî bifazlike amman sivâk.”
- Meaning of the Prayer for Blessings: “O Allah! Suffice me with what is lawful and protect me from that which is unlawful, and enrich me with Your grace so that I do not need anyone but You!” (Tirmidhi, Du’a, 110/3563; Ahmed, I, 153)
