What is Hatim? The Virtue and Meaning of Reciting the Hatim Prayer

Hatim means “to memorize or recite the entire Quran from beginning to end.” Those who perform this sacred task are expected to be blessed and spiritually enriched.

The Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) said:

“Recite the Quran. Indeed, the Quran will come as an intercessor for those who recite it on the Day of Judgment.” (Muslim, Musafirīn 252.) This hadith clearly demonstrates the importance of reciting the Quran and its value in the afterlife.
