Quranic Verses for Healing: Ayats to Recite for the Sick
Du’a (Supplication) is when a servant acknowledges their powerlessness before Allah’s majesty and asks Him for grace and assistance. This word, of Arabic origin, carries meanings such as “to call out,” “to beseech,” “to request,” and “to seek help.” Making du’a is an important act of worship encouraged in both the Quran and Hadith. Verses like “Fear Him and implore Him; perhaps you will be delivered” (Al-A’raf, 7:56) and “There is nothing more precious with Allah than supplication” (Tirmidhi, Da’awat, 1; Ibn Majah, Dua, 1) emphasize the importance of du’a.
Healing Verses (Supplications to Recite for the Sick)
According to Islamic belief, Allah is the Giver of healing and the Reliever of suffering, the Most Merciful. Below are Arabic recitations and Turkish translations of supplications that can be recited by the sick with the intention of seeking healing:
