How can hearts find peace? According to the Quran, hearts only find peace under a certain condition.
Our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- said: “A person is with those they love.” (Bukhari, Adab, 96) Following the principle of “The lover loves everything his beloved loves,” it is essential that we emulate the Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- in our character and behavior. Such love, affection, and emulation regarding this matter forms the very backbone of love for Allah. Anything contrary to this is rendered invalid according to the Quran and Sunnah. The sole ‘path’ to reach Allah is marked by love for His Messenger.
HOW DO HEARTS FIND PEACE?
Remembrance of Allah (Zikrullah) and the Noble Salutations (Salawat) are the nourishment of our spiritual existence and the guarantee of eternal happiness. Our heart and soul reach perfection through remembrance. Indeed, Allah says:
“Indeed, hearts find rest in remembering Allah.” (Ar-Ra’d, 28)
The path to becoming a close servant of Allah lies through ‘constant remembrance.’ Only then does our life gain spiritual sweetness and tranquility.
