Powerful Dua for Violations of Rights (Kul Hakkı): A Supplication for Salvation on the Day of Resurrection
The importance of kul hakkı (rights of others) holds a significant place in Islam. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him – PBUH) also gave great importance to kul hakkı and made supplications regarding it. Here is the prayer mentioned in a hadith, recommended for recitation concerning violations of rights:
Recitation of the Dua for Violations of Rights
Recitation: “Allahümme fe eyyüme mü’minin sebebtühü fecal zelike lehü gurbeten ileyke yevme’l kıyameti”
Meaning of the Dua for Violations of Rights
Meaning: “O Lord! Whenever I have spoken a word that distresses and grieves a believer, make that word a means of nearness to You for him on the Day of Resurrection – meaning, let it bring him closer to You according to the pain he felt from that word.”
(Bukhari, Du’a (Supplications), 34)
This prayer is an important tool for appeasing those whose rights we have violated and for purifying ourselves of these errors on the Day of Resurrection.
