Our Messenger Rasûlullah -sallâllâhu aleyhi ve sellem- once held the hand of Mu’adh bin Jabal and gave him this advice:

–O Mu’adh! I swear by Allah that I truly love you. O Mu’adh! I advise you not to cease making the supplication: «Allahumme einnî ala zikrike wa shukrike wa husni ‘ibadatik!» at the end of every prayer.” (Abu Dawud, Witir, 26)

Meaning of the Prayer for Zikr, Gratitude, and Worship

Our Prophet -sallâllâhu aleyhi ve sellem- made this important supplication as follows:

Recitation: “Allahumme einnî ala zikrike wa shukrike wa husni ‘ibadatik”

Meaning: “O Allah! Help me to remember You, be grateful for Your blessings, and worship You in the best way.” (Ibn Huzeyma, Dua, No:751; Hakim, No: 1838, I, 499)
