The Supplications of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
One who possesses a purified heart, a righteous servant, is safe from shame and disgrace in the Day of Judgment when all secrets are revealed in the reckoning before Allah, His Messenger, and all creation. They will also be delivered from the hardships, torments, and difficulties of that day.
The Prophet’s (peace be upon him) Supplication
Our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- would supplicate to his Lord as follows:
“O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in religion… I ask You for a truthful tongue and a heart free from impurity (a heart of peace)….” (Tirmidhi, Du’as, 23/3407)
Can such a precious heart be enslaved by fleeting worldly desires? Can there be a greater negligence than that? Can there be a greater calamity than polluting the heart – which is the only price for attaining Allah’s pleasure – with anything other than Him?
