Meaning and Significance of the Dua “Rabbi Edhilnî Mudhale Sıdkin…”

Dua (Supplication) is a servant’s acknowledgement of their powerlessness before Allah’s majesty, expressing love and respect while seeking His grace and assistance. The word “Duā” carries meanings such as calling, invoking, requesting, and asking for help. It generally signifies supplications made from the lesser to the greater, from the lower to the higher. The act of making dua is praised and encouraged in verses and hadith. “Fear Him and hope for His mercy.” (Surah Al-A’raf, 7/56) and “There is nothing more precious than supplication in the sight of Allah.” (Tirmidhi, Adab, 1; Ibn Majah, Dua, 1) are just some examples that highlight this truth.
