What Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) Do in Times of Pain, and Which Prayers Did He Recite?
Osman ibn Abu al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates:
“I mentioned to the Messenger of Allah – peace and blessings be upon him – a pain I had been experiencing in my body since the day I embraced Islam. He instructed me to:
Place your right hand on the area of your body that is aching,
and say 3 times:
‘Bismillah (In the Name of Allah)’
then recite the following supplication 7 times:
‘Eûzü bi-izzetillahi wa kudratihi min şerri mâ ecidu wa uhâziru.’
“I seek refuge in the majesty and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and fear.”
He (peace be upon him) said.
I have performed this many times. Allah, Glorified and Exalted, removed the illness from me. I never hesitated to tell my family and others about it.”
