Advice from the Prophet (peace be upon him) at the Request of a Companion
Mu’adh bin Jabal -may Allah be pleased with him- narrates:
The Importance of Remembering Allah: A Hadith
I said to the Messenger of Allah – peace and blessings be upon him –:
–O Messenger of Allah! Give me some advice.
The Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him – replied:
–Be mindful of your duty to Allah as much as you can.
Remember Allah beside every stone and every tree.
And seek forgiveness for sins you commit, secretly for what you conceal, and openly for what you do in public! (Heysemi, X, 74)
