How Often Did the Prophet (PBUH) Repent?
The Most Exalted of Creation – peace and blessings be upon him – exemplified the importance of repentance and seeking forgiveness, stating:
SAYING ‘ASTAGHFIRULLAH’ 100 TIMES A DAY
“O People! Seek forgiveness from Allah and ask Him for pardon. For I seek forgiveness from Him one hundred times a day.” (Muslim, Zikr, 42)

Knowing that one of the most important duties of a servant is to remember Allah and worship Him at every moment, the Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him – would turn towards repentance and seeking forgiveness whenever he had the opportunity to increase his acts of worship. Furthermore, the Prophet (PBUH) would constantly seek forgiveness on behalf of his Ummah.
