Subhan Rabbiyyal A’la: What Does it Mean? What is the Meaning of Subhan Rabbiyyal A’la? How Many Times and Where is it Said? The Arabic Script, Pronunciation, and Meaning of Subhan Rabbiyyal A’la…

Aliyy; means supremely exalted and supremely high. Allah, Most High, is greater, more sublime, and higher than anything the human mind can conceive. There is no being more exalted than Him in terms of majesty, honor, and dominion. This exaltation is not of a physical nature; it is an elevation and superiority of a divine kind.

The Arabic script, pronunciation, and meaning of Subhan Rabbiyyal A’la are indicated below:

  • Subhan Rabbiyyal A’la in Arabic Script: سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي الْأَعْلَى
  • Meaning of Subhan Rabbiyyal A’la: It means, “Glory to my Lord, the Most High, far removed from all imperfections.”

HOW MANY TIMES AND WHERE IS SUBHAN RABBİYAL ALA SAID?

According to the verse, “The most beautiful names belong to Allah. So call upon Him with those names.” (Al-A’raf, 7/180), each time we say Subhan Rabbiyyal A’la, we mention Allah (SWT) with His glorious attribute of Aliyy.

One of the first divine commands received by our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the verse “And your Lord, magnify Him…” (Al-Muzzammil, 74/3).

To fulfill this divine command, which means, ‘Magnify your Lord, glorify your Lord,’ the prayer is begun with takbir (saying “Allahu Akbar”), and in the prayer, supplications are made to Him (SWT) with His most beautiful names.
