How to Make Supplication After Prayer? Is Salawat Offered After Prayer?
The Messenger of Allah –peace and blessings be upon him– saw a man making supplication without offering salutations (Salat wa Salam) after prayer. Consequently, he said:

“This person has rushed.” Then, he summoned the man and gave the following warning to his entire Ummah:
“When one of you makes supplication, let him first praise and glorify Allah, then offer salutations (Salat wa Salam) upon me. After that, he may make supplication as he wishes.” (Tirmidhi, Du’a, 64/3477)
