Meaning and Importance of the Dua “Ente Veliyyuna…”
Dua (Supplication) is a servant’s acknowledgement of their powerlessness before Allah’s majesty and a heartfelt request for His help, filled with love. The word ‘dua,’ literally meaning “to call out” or “to ask,” has numerous verses and hadith emphasizing its significance. Statements like “Fear your Lord in hope and awe, and do not transgress the limits [ordained by Him].” (Al-A’raf, 7:56) and “There is nothing more precious before Allah than supplication.” (Tirmidhi, Duawāt, 1; Ibn Majah, Dua, 1) highlight the value of dua.

Surah Araf: 155th Verse
Recitation: “…Ente veliyyunâ fagfir lanâ werhamna wente hayrul gâfirîn.”
Meaning: “…You are our Master, forgive us and have mercy upon us! Indeed, You are the best of those who forgive!”
