Ümmü Seleme -may Allah be pleased with her-, was asked:
What Dua Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) Recite Most Often?
“O mother of the believers! When the Messenger of Allah -peace and blessings be upon him- was with you, what dua did he recite most often?” She replied:
“Most often:
يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِتْ قَلْب۪ى عَلٰى دِينِكَ
“O Allah, Who turns hearts over! Make my heart steadfast upon your religion.” (Tirmidhi, Du’a, 89/3522; Ahmed, IV, 182, VI, 91)
The Virtues and Meaning of This Dua
This dua is of great importance in asking Allah to keep the heart steadfast in faith. In these times when hearts are constantly changing and falsehoods are widespread, frequently reciting this dua becomes a protective shield for our souls.
