The Prophet (PBUH)’s Supplications in Prostration
Narrates Mother Aisha (RA):
The Prophet’s (PBUH) Supplications During Prostration
One night, I awoke and did not see the Prophet (PBUH) beside me. It occurred to me that he might be with another of his wives. I felt around with my hand and it touched His feet, and I realized He was in prostration. When I listened closely, I heard him making supplication filled with sobs:
“O Allah! I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. And I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot enumerate praises to You; You are as You praised Yourself!” (Muslim, Salat, 222; Tirmidhi, Du’a, 75/3493)
