How should a person who believes their prayer will be accepted by Allah?
Rasulullah -peace and blessings upon him- said one day:
HOW SHOULD WE PRAY?
“Whenever a Muslim asks Allah for something, as long as he does not ask for something sinful or desires to sever ties with his relatives, Allah Most High will surely grant his wish or avert an evil equivalent to what he would have received.”
A person from among the Sahabah (companions) asked:
“Then we should ask Allah for a lot of things!”
Rasulullah al-Amin (the Trusted One) replied:
“The grace of Allah is more extensive than what you desire.” (Tirmidhi, Du’awat, 115/3573; Ahmed, III, 18)
Allah Most High does not reject sincere prayers. However, even with all sincerity, He may not grant certain requests that do not align with the Absolute Decree (Qadar). A servant should never despair and continue to pray. In such cases, the response to the prayer has been deferred to the Hereafter. For Allah says:
“…Ask of Me, and I will grant you…” (Al-Mu’minun, 60)
