The Supplication to Protect Hearts from Distress: Surah Al-Imran, Verse 8 and its Meaning

This is an important supplication that every Muslim who seeks deep knowledge and tranquility of heart should know. It’s a healing prayer sent by our Lord to protect hearts from straying and going astray. Here’s Surah Al-Imran, verse 8, and its meaning:

Surah Al-Imran: Verse 8

Recitation: “Rabbenâ lâ tüzığ kulûbenâ ba’de iz hedeytenâ veheb lenâ min ledünke rahmeten, inneke entel vehhâb.”

Meaning: “Our Lord! Do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Bestow upon us Your mercy. Indeed, You are the Most Generous.”

By reciting this supplication, we can ask our Lord to prevent us from deviating from the guidance He has bestowed upon us and seek help from His boundless mercy.
