Our Prophet (PBUH)’s Supplications in Prostration
Lady Aisha (RA) narrates:
The Supplications of Our Prophet (PBUH) During Prostration
One night, I awoke and did not see the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) with me. It occurred to me that he might be with another wife. I felt around with my hand and touched His feet, realizing He was in prostration. When I listened closely, I heard Him weeping with sobs and reciting the following supplication:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. I seek refuge with You from Yourself; for I cannot enumerate praises to You as You have praised Yourself.” (Muslim, Salat, 222; Tirmidhi, Du’a, 75/3493)
