What is ‘Euzu Billahi Mineşşeytanirracim’?
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) recited the “Euzu besmele” both in prayer and outside of prayer. This supplication holds an important place in Islamic belief and is one of the essential prayers that every Muslim should know.
According to a narration from Ibn-i Munzir:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) recited the “Euzu billahi mine’ş-şeytani’r-racim” supplication before recitation in prayer. (Shawkani, Nayl al-Awtar, II, 196)

The Quran states about this:
“If a suggestion of evil comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah.” Fussilat Surah, 36 This verse emphasizes the importance of making Istiaza supplication.
Furthermore, it is important to seek refuge in Allah with the following verses:
“My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, from their presence.”
Say: “My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the temptations of the devils. And I seek refuge in You from them when they are near!” (Muminun Surah, 97-98)
