The Prophet’s (PBUH) prayer regarding the Holy Quran…
Our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- in a supplication, implores Almighty Allah as follows:
“…O my Lord! By virtue of every beautiful name You possess, I beseech You;
Make the Quran;
- The spring of my heart (the map of happiness in my heart)
- The light of my breast (the grace and light of the inner world)
- A remedy for my sorrow and grief!” (Ahmed, I, 391)
“Every host desires that people come to his feast and is pleased with it. The Quran is also Allah’s feast. Do not stay away from it.” (Darimi, Fazailul-Quran, 1)
HADITH: “MAKE THE QURAN THE SPRING OF MY HEART”
Our Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- said:
When any sorrow or distress befalls a person:
“O Allah! I am Your servant. I am the offspring of Your male and female servants. I am in Your hand with all that I possess. (You dispose of everything concerning me.) What applies to me is only Your judgment. My destiny regarding me is nothing but justice. I ask You, by virtue of every name you have named for Your divinity, by virtue of every name you have taught among your creations, by virtue of every name you have revealed in your books, by virtue of every name that is known only to You in Your divine presence, make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my breast. Make it a remover of my sadness, a dispeller of my grief and sorrow.” then Allah will show him a way out of his sorrow and distress. He will grant him relief instead.
