Struggle with Truth and Inner Accountability
While humanity possesses the potential to turn towards Truth at its very core, it frequently struggles with the captivity of the ego. The teachings of Abdülkadir Geylani emphasize awareness and responsibility for this inner conflict. Struggling against Truth, questioning His will, or interpreting it according to personal expectations is fundamentally a sign of ingratitude. True humility lies in being content with God’s decree, showing reverence with patience. For worldly life is a field of trial, and every individual will wage their struggle against their own ego. Rather than seeking the guilty party externally, we must first deeply examine our hearts and recognize our flaws.
Presence in Silence: The Path to Communion with Truth
According to a Sufi understanding, communion with Truth requires adherence to silence and decorum. Detaching from the world of noise and heedlessness allows the heart to purify itself and perceive Truth more clearly. A heart tempered by love for God observes Divine permission in every step and establishes peace through its actions. This is an understanding of humility that must be embodied not only in words but in all behaviors. Being present with Truth means opening one’s insight and surrendering personal will before His power. True wealth lies not in worldly possessions, but in the depth of the soul.
The Gate of Repentance and Life’s Opportunities
Life is an open gate of opportunity; however, this gate will not remain open forever. Not leaving the gate of repentance until the last moment, considering life a blessing, and not postponing acts of kindness are of great importance. We must seek God’s forgiveness at every moment and strive to cleanse ourselves of our sins. For our prayers to be accepted, we must be sincere and perform our actions for His pleasure. We should take counsel from those who progress on the path of good and stay away from bad habits. Let us remember that the world is a place of preparation for the afterlife; therefore, we must correct our intentions and work with God’s approval. Turning towards Truth is to polish our souls and find inner peace.
