Today, there’s a tendency to fail to see the distinction between halal and haram or to continue dealing with suspicious products. This may be due to a lack of religious knowledge, but it can also be a result of prioritizing material gain.
Spiritual Purification and Halal Sustenance
Obtaining halal sustenance is not only a material need but also a process of spiritual purification. Satan tries to lead people to forbidden paths by exploiting their desires; however, the person who earns a living through halal means remains distant from such influences and becomes spiritually stronger. The difficulties of earning halal sustenance develop a person’s patience and determination while also serving as a means for them to draw closer to Allah. A person’s livelihood in this world through lawful means creates a foundation for eternal happiness in the hereafter; therefore, the pursuit of halal sustenance is a primary responsibility for every Muslim.
