The Transient World, Eternal Values

The words of Abdülkadir Geylânî draw attention to the danger of being captivated by the allure of the temporal world and missing the true meaning. If we enjoy blessings without understanding their truth, we risk succumbing to rebellion, errors, and injustice. Like a burning illness, the brilliance of this worldly life can be deceptive; it may be followed by difficulties. Therefore, repentance, correcting our mistakes, and confronting the grace of our Lord is vitally important. We must remember that trials are not merely external events; they require an inner awakening.

The Meaning of Trial and the Possibility of Truth

Young people are advised to repent because we may not fully see the power of Allah. He tests us and tries to bring our minds back to reason through calamities. Affliction (iptilâ) is a trial that does not befall everyone; it requires deep understanding to comprehend. Passing through trials brings one to their senses and directs them towards the right path. Bad behaviors like lies bring about disasters, but they can be overcome with patience and gratitude. The difficulties faced by those united in the way of Allah raise their degree; each difficulty offers them an opportunity to draw closer to our Lord.

The Importance of Patience and Walking the Path of Truth

We must not abandon patience in order to attain true spiritual maturity. The lives of prophets and saints were filled with difficulties, but they were overcome with patience. Patience is the path to spiritual states; abandoning it means losing nearness to the Divine. Those who are rightful (Hak ehli) only know Allah, see no one else, enjoy solitude by keeping their inner worlds clean. We must not forget that this worldly life is transient and turn our hearts towards Him. In our prayers, we should ask for help from our Lord, be honest in our worldly affairs, and try to understand the meaning behind everything; thus, we can progress on the path of Truth.
