Ahmed Yesevi, a respected Sufi leader known by the titles “Pir-i Türkistan” (Spiritual Leader of Turkestan) and “Hazret-i Türkistan” (Excellence of Turkestan), has left deep marks on the spiritual life of the Turkic world. He established the Yeseviyya order, defining its fundamental principles and profoundly influencing other important Sufi traditions such as the Naqshbandi.
