Good Deeds Reach Allah, and There is a Reward for Them

“Whatever good deed you do, Allah knows it surely.” Bakara surah (2), 215 “Whatever goodness you put into action, Allah is aware of it.” Bakara surah (2), 197 These two verses inform us that any good deed or kindness done will never remain unknown, and that they are known by Allah Almighty. These verses are a guarantee of the recording and documentation of good deeds. Because man does not want his good deeds to be lost. For this reason, these verses are a great incentive. How? “Whoever performs an atom’s worth of goodness, he will see its reward.” Zilzâl surah (99), 7 “It is for the doer of good to benefit from it.” Câsiye surah (45), 15 Even a particle of goodness will have its reward. For since Allah knows every good deed done, there is no possibility of even the smallest loss. Within this certainty lies another truth: “the benefit of goodness belongs to him who performs it.” Therefore, whoever wants to do good to himself, whoever wants the goodness of his own soul, should do good and perform acts of kindness, regardless of whether they are small or large. For while others may see the immediate benefit of goodness, the ultimate benefit, the spiritual gain, belongs to him who performs it. There is no mistake or injustice at this point. The reward for anyone’s good deeds and kindnesses is not written to someone else. There are many verses illuminating the subject from different perspectives, as stated in the title.
