Even today, obtaining degrees such as bachelor’s and master’s degrees to advance in professional fields reflects this principle. Acquiring the necessary knowledge for each situation at every step enables us to be conscious and responsible individuals.
The Need for Knowledge Shaped by Environment and Surroundings
Imam Rabbani’s teaching emphasizes that knowledge is not only important for personal development but also for social responsibility. The environment and surroundings we live in directly affect our obligation to acquire knowledge. For example, a Muslim living in a place where alcohol consumption is prevalent must learn the prohibition of this behavior and convey it to others. Similarly, it is important to become aware of modesty and share accurate information in an environment dominated by open dress habits. This is not only an individual responsibility but also a duty to protect societal morality.
Self-Accounting and Moral Development

Subduing one’s nafs (ego), being free from bad feelings such as envy, malice, and arrogance is obligatory for every believer. It must be remembered that actions performed without knowledge may be in vain, while an ethical body of knowledge matures the person and adds value to society.
