Hadith
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the plague/veba disease, and he said: “The plague is a kind of punishment which Allah inflicts on whom He wills of His servants. Allah has made it a mercy for the believers. So whoever among them is afflicted with it, let him endure it with patience and expect reward from Allah, and remain in his place; for he will be rewarded as a martyr if he knows that whatever has befallen him is by Allah’s decree.”
