What is the fire of the wrongdoers
Who is the Creator
You forgot, O Creator, without bringing it to your mind
You turned away from Me and took hold of the hands of the wrongdoers
I gave the wrongdoers their own worth, O My servant
You did not beg the Creator for punishment
You did not rise up at night saying “Allah”
You did not refrain from speaking about the truths, O My servant
I stretched out the hands of the wrongdoers, O servant of the unseen Truth
You did not guide your heart towards the Truth
You did not turn away from the worldly, O servant
You did not turn towards Allah from the self, O My servant
For this self, I became a sacrifice and a ransom, O My servant
Do not complain about the wrongdoers, for you yourself are the wrongdoer
Your character does not affect the people, O servant
I filled your eyes with worldly wealth, but they are never satisfied, O My servant
I cast the hypocrites into the “Siccin”, O My servant
Kızıl duda
rose up and spoke about you
My heart and soul are the light of the eyes of the nations
Who is the servant who is My nation, O servant
I placed the true nation in the heart of the servant, O My servant
The servant, Hoca Ahmed, spoke the words of the Truth and passed on
He passed on by corrupting the Aynel-yakin path
He passed on by watching the Imael-yakin path
I spoke the truth from the Hak kel-yakin path, O My servant
HAKMET 12
Allah the Most High gave grace
I burned up by becoming a sinner, O My servant
Every eye in the world is a laughingstock to me
Only the Truth did I love, O My servant
I passed the soul and only the Truth took it
After that, I became the sea and overflowed
I ascended by watching the Lâmekân
I gave a hundred thousand divorces for the world, O My servant
Even the highest intellect cannot stand before the Truth
The grace of the intellect does not stop for a moment
Like a butterfly, it becomes a moth and does not know itself
I heard this from the Beloved, O My servant
There are many paths beyond the path of the Sufi order
One cannot walk without taking hold of the pure grace
Even if one sees the beauty, one cannot sleep day and night
I saw the beauty without sleeping, O My servant
The path of the Sufi order is endless and difficult, O My servant
I ran away from the Perfect Master, whose roots had dried up
I held the Master’s hand and opened the eyes of the blind
I traveled the paths in disgrace, O My servant
The path of the Sufi order is difficult and full of suffering
Many souls have become dust on this path
Whoever enters the path of grace, their condition is ruined
I walked by asking the saints for the way, O My servant
The path of the Sufi order is endless and lofty
The one whom the grace has reached is near to it
Seven hells cannot withstand even a particle
O friends, I filled you with the essence of the noble soul, O My servant
Who is the one capable of understanding the truth
Who holds the grace and burns inside
Blood flows from the eyes, and tears fall
I made the tears of the eyes into a sacrifice, O My servant
The story of the souls of the saints
The pearl of the path of the arif
Wherever the Beloved goes, He is at home
I saw this on this occasion, O My servant
One cannot be a servant without seeing the source of grace
The soul does not die without humility
The pearl cannot be formed without being satisfied with a single drop
I took from the pure essence by being satisfied, O My servant
The color of the fire burns away
It is drawn towards the hereafter and passes through here
The burdens of this world are opened there
I left the Messenger of the world, O My servant
The color of the true servants is pale
If they look into the mirror, they are brighter than it
Their essence is amazing, their hearts are broken, their eyes are weeping
I remained in awe of His power, O My servant
Allah said, “Let those who are too proud see Me
Let them say, ‘O My servant,’ and I will speak to them
Who is the servant who passes through the soul and desires Me?”
I took the true servant by the hand, O My servant
The beauty is given to those whose hearts are burning
Whoever enters the false path, everything is a mistake
The eyes of the true servant are weeping, the body is bent
I entered the underground by being bent, O My servant
Let me give the true servant the beauty of the truth
On the day of reckoning, I will ask you, “How are you?”
I will take the favor upon myself, O My servant
I came by hoping in His mercy, O My servant
The servant, Hoca Ahmed, always speaks the remembrance of the Truth
Fear Allah and do not listen to the call of the self
Pray and fast every morning, O My servant
By doing this, I attained my desire, O My servant
HAKMET 13
He, the All-Powerful, looked upon me with His power
I entered the underground in happiness, O My servant
The strange servant has departed from this world
I entered the underground in seclusion, O My servant
By remembering, by being in sin, I found the Truth
I struck the world and the hereafter as haram
I passed through by being passionate, by being disgraced, by passing through the soul
I entered the underground in a state of being a sinner, O My servant
The evil ones pulled me with mountains and stones
They pulled me by speaking openly and said, “Where is the beauty?”
If you are a servant, first go to the Truth
I entered the underground in seclusion, O My servant.
You, us, the Truth created for worship;
Ey acayip, to drink, to eat, for rest;
“Kalû bela” said my soul for the hardship;
I entered the underworld, becoming great.
My soul led me far, without looking at the Truth;
I walked day and night, without turning back;
Without the fire of desire and self, burning me;
I entered the underworld, full of sorrow.
If I see a servant, I become a servant and serve;
If the path is like earth, let the path be;
If I become a servant flying beside the lights;
I entered the underworld, becoming great.
I passed through love, endured hardship, and said “servant”;
I swallowed blood and said “Allah”, and mercy was shown;
He said “do not remain in hell” and I felt sorrow;
I entered the underworld, becoming happy.
Ya
month of twenty-three, a day remained;
Alas, I could not find the Truth, my heart was broken;
I became a great king on earth;
I entered the underworld, becoming a ruler.
I claimed “I am” and remained on the path;
I sold my turban and robe for worthless money;
I was tired by the self and the winds and stopped;
I entered the underworld, becoming restless.
My head is earth, my self is earth, my body is earth;
“I will reach the union with the Truth” said my soul, full of desire;
I burned completely, I could never be pure;
I entered the underworld, becoming a servant.
The perfect master looked at me, I drank from the river;
Like an iblis, I passed through the spiritual ascent;
I ran away from the world, fearing the people;
I entered the underworld, becoming Zemzem.
O servant, Hoca Ahmed, if you give advice, be yourself;
If you are a light, pass through the soul and die once;
Say to the ignorant, accept if they do not act;
I entered the underworld, becoming firm.
Hikmet 14
O friends, I became close to the ignorant;
I died, satisfied with the beloved;
If I speak the truth, the path will pull my neck;
I drank blood and was poisoned by sorrow;
My life with the ignorant is like a bitter fruit;
Even hell would fear you if you are ignorant;
Do not go to hell with the ignorant;
I withered like a leaf among the ignorant;
Pray that I do not see the faces of the ignorant;
If the Truth, Allah, is my companion, I will not stay a moment;
If I am sick, I will not ask about the condition of the ignorant;
I have seen a hundred thousand sufferings from the ignorant;
If I cry, will the Truth help me?
Will the rust on my eyes be removed?
Will all the ignorant leave this world?
I have seen a hundred thousand sufferings from the ignorant;
I will be a devotee, seeking the union with the Truth;
I will not stop lamenting, my heart will be ruined;
If you ask about my condition, I am a seeker of the Beloved;
I came seeking the Beloved, and disappeared;
I ran away to the underworld from the ignorant;
I opened my hands, asking for help from the future;
My poor soul is like a beggar among the wise;
I entered the underworld, not finding a wise man;
Do not ask me about the ignorant, my eyes are burning;
If I fear Allah, they will laugh at me;
If I open my mouth, they will call me a fool;
I came to you fearing the ignorant;
O people, the ignorant do not know their worth;
In darkness, you will not send them on the path;
If you bow your head and beg, they will not help;
I came to you complaining about the ignorant;
First and last, the good ones left, I remained alone;
I did not hear any good words from the ignorant;
The wise left, the ignorant remained, I suffered;
I remained lost, unable to find the path;
The wound of separation crushed my joy, where is the pain?
The wise are earth, the ignorant have high pride;
If I recite verses and hadiths, they will not listen;
My eyes are filled with sorrow and grief;
My pain and condition are small, but the doctor is absent;
I will only say my condition to the Beloved;
All seekers have their share, I am the unfortunate one;
I came, bent over, asking for a share;
O ignorant world, put your demands aside;
See the mercy of Allah and be amazed;
I said I will see and disappeared;
I told you the second book as a reminder;
Ask my soul for help and read it;
I prayed for Allah to grant the union;
I came, asking the Most Merciful Lord;
Let those who receive from my wisdom see;
Let them see the beauty with the eye of grace;
Let them submit to the path of training;
I saw the Beloved, passing through the soul;
For the beauty, I became a beggar, say “amin”;
O seekers, see my sorrow and eat it;
Give way to the servant, Kul Ahmet, on the path;
I came, seeking the path, becoming a beggar;
O servant, Hoca Ahmed, if you are a beggar, be with Allah;
Serve those who are united with the head;
If you find favor, set up a gathering and speak;
I remained among the people, becoming knowledgeable.
