The Path from Love to Creation

Remembrance, Supplication, and Devotion to the Right Path
Remembrance (dhikr) and supplication (dua) hold an important place in Ahmed Yesevi’s teachings. Dhikr is remembering God, turning towards Him, and purifying the heart; the lines ‘Tüni küni uhlamay Hu zikrini aytganlar / Melâyikler hemrâh ar n üstide kördüm’ express that constant dhikr is worthy of the intercession of angels. Dua is asking for help from God and seeking refuge in Him. Yesevi emphasizes the importance of devotion to the Right Path, expressing his own efforts and the spiritual treasures he has offered to humanity with the words ‘Kul Hâce Ahmed kân açt dürr ü gevherni saçt’.
