Abdullah Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would visit the Quba Mosque either on a mount or on foot and perform two rak’ahs of prayer there.

Narrator
In one narration (Bukhari, es-Salât fî mescidi Mekke ve’l-Medîne 3; Muslim, Hac 521), it is stated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would go to the Quba Mosque every Saturday either on a mount or on foot. It is also said that Abdullah Ibn Umar would do likewise.
What We Learn
  1. 1Visiting virtuous places is a tradition (Sunnah).
  2. 2Visiting the Quba Mosque on Saturdays and performing two rak’ahs of prayer there is a tradition.
  3. 3The companions, even if they could not comprehend the reason and wisdom behind it, did not hesitate to do what they saw from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
