Respect for the Community: Valuing Individuals Through the Etiquette of Changing Places

It is narrated from Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Let none of you remove a person from his place and then sit in his place. Rather, expand the circle.” Ibn Umar would not sit in the place of someone who had moved to make room for him.
