Hadith
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Religion is ease. Whoever overburdens himself with religion will find it burdensome and reject it. So, follow the middle way, strive for excellence, and you shall be given good tidings; avail yourselves of the beginning of the day, its end, and a portion of the night.”
Bukhari, Iman 29. Also see Nasa’i, Iman 28
Narrator
Another narration from Bukhari is as follows: “Follow the middle way, and strive to be close to Allah through perfect deeds. Work between the morning and noon, and between noon and evening. And avail yourself of a portion of the night.” Bukhari, Rikak 18
